El presente continuo se usa para describir acciones que están sucediendo en este momento o en este período de tiempo. Las formas afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa del presente continuo se forman utilizando el verbo to be en el presente simple y el verbo principal en su forma -ing.
Para afirmar algo en el presente continuo, utilizamos la forma I am + -ing. Por ejemplo:
I am reading a book. You are eating an apple. He is playing tennis. She is watching television. It is raining. We are having a party. They are doing their homework.
Para negaciones en el presente continuo, utilizamos la forma I am not + -ing. Por ejemplo:
I am not reading a book. You are not eating an apple. He is not playing tennis. She is not watching television. It is not raining. We are not having a party. They are not doing their homework.
Para hacer preguntas en el presente continuo, utilizamos la forma Am I + -ing. Por ejemplo:
